(Hazleton, PA – May 19, 2015) Hawk Mountain Labs received financing from the USDA Rural Development and the Tri-District Loan Fund, capitalized by the Economic Development Administration Loan Fund, to purchase machinery and equipment. These loan funds are managed by NEPA Alliance in our region. This funding will allow Hawk Mountain Labs to expand their business and establish new jobs. These loans were part of an overall funding package that included the NEPA Alliance and CANDO, Inc.

CAN DO utilized its connections with the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance, as well as Luzerne County, to obtain five loans the company will use to improve and expand its operations. Jim Kelshaw, CAN DO’s Director of Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, negotiated on behalf of HawkMtn Labs President and CEO Jeffrey Gittleman to obtain nearly $600,000 in loans, in addition to the money CAN DO was able to provide the company.
